Hobbit Home IRL of the Day: A Hobbit fan named Simon Dale decided he and his family should have their very own Hobbit home, so he moved out to the Welsh countryside and built one himself.
It cost $5200 and took 1,500 hours of labor, but the result would satisfy any Baggins, Took or Brandybuck. It’s especially impressive, considering that Dale is a photographer, not a carpenter.
He did get to use his professional experience a little bit, though. Check out his photos of the real-life Hobbiton after the jump.
